8 Days from Marrakech to Mountains & Desert Trekking

1st day: Marrakesh – Dades Gorges

Morocco trekking tour departure will be from Marrakesh airport at 8 am, where we are going to cross by the highest mountain in Africa, « The high Atlas Mountains », followed by Tichka mountain, to reach Dades Gorges at the end of the day, where we will settle in a Hotel, to have dinner and then stay a night there. Furthermore, before reaching Dades Gorges, we will pass by Skoura Oasis which is full of ruined ancient Kasbahs among the palm trees, and the valley of roses at Kelaat M’gouna, to visit and have a look at the locally made cosmetic articles; and which are considered to have great interest and value throughout Morocco.

2nd, 3rd and 4th days:

We will spend three days and two nights at the Dades Gorges. After taking your breakfast, a splendid and amusing journey are waiting for you. A trek guided by the guides and the muleteers of the tour will show you special features of the landscape, they will schedule where the trek will begin, end, and where to stop; and also describe for you the nature and the way of life of the local Berbers, who inhabit the Anti-Atlas-Mountains. It will be a Great journey where we will spend our nights in the Beber nomads caves in the mountains, and probably one night with a Berber family, you will certainly love their hostility and simplicity.

5th day: The Mountains – Merzouga

In the fifth day of Morocco trekking tour, we will go back to the hotel; to freshen up with a shower. We will reach the « Bivouac », in Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga. In our way, to the Bivouac, we will stop to visit Toudra Gorge, then Rissani to have a delicious lunch. We will spend a night and have dinner on our arrival to the « Bivouac ».

6th day: Merzouga

At Merzouga; we will have breakfast, and then a two-hour camel ride in the charming and splendid Sahara Sand dunes, then we will take a rest to prepare and have lunch. It will be Another two-hour camel trekking to reach the high dunes of Erg Chebbi, in the afternoon, where the atmosphere and the amazing view of the sunset made a spectacular scenery, and where we will spend a night, and have dinner.

7th day: Merzouga – Ouarzazate

Try waking up early to see an impressive view of the sunset covering the dunes and changing its color to create a very beautiful scene. We will drive back to the east to the villages of Tazzarine (which was featured in the film Bebel), and N’Qob to have lunch. We will then drive to « Tansikht », taking the ancient caravan to reach Dar’a valley at Agdz, which is full of large palm trees and ancient Kasbahs. We will continue passing by Tizi-N-Tinfifite to Ouarzazate, to have dinner and spend a night at the Riad.

8th day Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

Our last day of Morocco trekking tour, will start after taking breakfast, to visit Taourirt Kasbah, which was belonged to the Pasha of Marrakesh, and the place where he used to carry goods brought in the caravans from Sub-Saharan Africa, before selling them. Also, to visit the most famous kasbah in Morocco, called  » Ait Ben Haddou », which was used by many Hollywood blockbusters, and a Unesco Wolrd Heritage site. Then, to another kasbah, called « Telouet », along the new road, which is a Kasbah situated right in the middle of the mountains, and was once belonged to the last Glaoui Pasha of Marrakesh. We will reach Marrakesh as end of Morocco trekking tour, after passing by Tizi-N-Tichka mountain.
