1st day: Fez
6 Days Fez Marrakech desert tour, will start by driving you from the airport to an hotel in Fez,where we will stay the night. Fez, is one of the imperial cities, was known to be the craft and religious capital of Morocco, was founded by Idris the first in the 12th century, and it was considered for years to be the cultural capital, which focuses on history and crafts. Famous for its largest medina in the Arab World,The Madrassas, the Souk (which is stunning by the amount and variety of spices), Al Quaraouiyine (which is the oldest university in the world), Plazas, Andalusians and Potters neighborhoods , Mosques, Palaces and Museums. Fez is also considered to be the artisan capital of Morocco.
2nd day: Fez – Merzouga
We will drive to the middle Atlas Mountains after breakfast, then, stop at Ifrane, « The Switzerland of Morocco », a stunning and charming town, followed by visiting the beautiful cedar forest at Azrou. Back to the south, we will pass by the High Atlas Mountains, to reach Errachidia, where you will see along the way palm trees, and a green oasis ideal for growing all kinds of fruit trees and vegetable microclimate. Then, to Erfoud, the economic capital of Tafilalet, which is known for its fossils, and finally to Merzouga to stay the night there.
3rd day: Merzouga
In our third day of 6 Days Fez Marrakech desert tour, we will explore more about Erg Chebbi ,visiting Khamlia town, to see and discover small villages, and inhabited houses, where you can not except that people actually living there, far away from the city and the population. We will also visit a nomad family,to spend the evening with them, you will discover how beautiful and simple they are, as well as a camel ride to the nomad yurts where we will stay the night.
4th day: Merzouga – Ouarzazate
In our fourth day of 6 Days Fez Marrakech desert tour, we will visit many important and impressive places. After having breakfast, we will first drive to Risani, then to the old Sijilmassa, one of the most important trade centers in Morocco during the middle ages, as well as the very beautiful Tinghir oasis,and continue over 300m, to « Todra Gorges » milestone river canyons,and finally to Ouarzazate which is considered to have much importance, for it to be a cinematic setting for multiple Hollywood movies such as, Gladiator, Troy, The Mummy, and so on, and the site of Taourirt Kasbah. In the late afternoon, we will check in a hotel at Ouarzazate, have dinner and spend a night there.
5th day: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After having breakfast, we will drive to the Unesco World Heritage site, and the most famous Kasbah in Morocco, « Ait Ben Haddou », and to « Telouet » Kasbah, the ancient palace of the Glaoui Pasha of Marrakesh. Then continue to Marrakesh city, in order to spend the night in a hotel, passing by the 2 260m mountain pass « Tizi-N-Tichka ».
6th day: Marrakech city tour
We will spend the whole day at Marrakesh city, with its large supplies of dates, and bones, and which was said that it was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, it is also called « the Red city », because of the color of its walls, which were built by Yusuf Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the 11th century. We will visit multiple beautiful and remarkable places,such as The Menara, The Kasbah, The Saadian Tombs, The Bahia Palace, The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Souks, and « Jemaa El Fna » We will spend the whole afternoon at Jema El Fna, where you will live a unique experience, you will see and have fun with dancers, Artisans, Snake charmers, Jugglers, Merchants, and Storytellers. We will finally drive you to the airport before your flight departure, as an end to 6 Days Fez Marrakech desert tour.
