We will drive about 35 km from Ouarzazate, to “Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah”, a famous Kasbah, built in the 11 century and was once a caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh, it is situated on a hill along the Ounila river, some part of it still inhabited, the other parts are completely damaged due to the windstorms and rainstorms, then to Taroudant where we are going to spend a night in a hotel there.

Day 10 – Taroudant to Essaouira

On Day 10 of your 14 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca, explore Taroudant’s ramparts before driving through the Souss Valley, Paradise Valley, and along Taghazout to Essaouira. Check in and enjoy the town’s seafood and coastal charm.

Day 11 – Exploring Essaouira

You will have a whole day to explore Essaouira. Here is some information about this wonderful town. Essaouira is renowned for its Kitesurfing and Windsurfing, horse riding, camel riding along the beach, and quad biking activities that you can enjoy while staying in Essaouira. It is known for the delicious seafood and the several small art galleries which are found all over the town. Since 1998 Essaouira is getting known by its World Music Gnaoua Festival, usually in the last week of June, which brings artists from all over the world. Although it focuses on Gnaoua music, it also includes rock, jazz, and reggae. In early 1952 the film director and actor Orson Welles made his movie Othello, and currently, there is a square named after Orson Welles.

Day 12 – Essaouira to Marrakech

We will drive about half the road between Essaouira and Marrakesh, where you are going to see numerous big Argan trees, which goats frequently climb it. Argan oil is handmade and traditionally produced by women, who cooperate to form this unique oil, used to prepare Couscous, Salads, as a treatment for skin diseases, and it is founded that it is fabulous for cosmetics by the European manufacturers, you will have the opportunity to see yourself how this precious oil is made by viewing Berber women squeezes the Argan fruit to extract the oil. We will arrive in Marrakesh at the end of the day, to stay in a hotel, and have a walk if we save some time.

Day 13 – Marrakech Sightseeing

You will spend the whole day exploring Marrakesh city. It is the most important imperial city in Morocco, situated near the foothills of the Atlas Mountains snowcapped, and it comprises an old fortified city, The Medina, and Gueliz (a very modern city) which is built during the French occupation. Marrakesh has also the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and the busiest square in Africa “Jemaa El Fna” where you can see water sellers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, and snake charmers, and which turns to be a huge restaurant during the night. We will visit The tombs of several figures, The Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century by Almoravid Dynasty, “Seven Saints” narrow streets, which during the reign of Moulay Ismail, the festival of the seven saints was founded by the request of the Sultan.

Day 14 – Marrakech Airport | End of the 14 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca
